Real estate (home values) have been one of the areas hardest hit during the economic collapse, and the result has been very little new construction (and few new construction jobs). That's why it has to be seen as good news that developer Terrence Wall is moving ahead with plans for a large subdivision in suburban Madison. The Bishops Bay 780 acre site could see as many as 6000 new residents if plans take off. And it would take man-hours - real jobs - to help build those new homes. It's a potential risk for the developer - but a potential boost for the strugging construction industry.
