Climate Change

So what does it mean?  In the grand scheme, the experts say it doesn't mean a whole lot.  Wisconsin was left off the list this year for the "best business climate" by the editors at Site Selection Magazine.  Each year, the editors rank the top 25 states for business climate, and Wisconsin missed the cut.  In fact, the Badger State has missed the list each year since 1998, when we were ranked #22.  An article in the Cap Times quotes a number of business and development experts as saying the rankings don't really matter - but what else would they say? The bottom line is that Wisconsin needs to do more to create a climate that will help attract and retain family-supporting jobs.  As the article seems to note, some progress is being made.  But so far, it's not enough to crack the list.
