The jump is dramatic, and speaks volumes about what business leaders in other parts of the country are saying about Wisconsin. CEO Magazine is out with its annual list of best and worst states to do business, and Wisconsin is the biggest mover on the list. Historically stuck near the bottom of the list, the Badger State jumped 17 spots in this year's rankings, moving into the top half at #24. Texas remains #1 overall, but it's Wisconsin that is making noise. A move from #41 into the top half is the sort of change that gets notice. The Governor campaigned on a pledge to improve Wisconsin's business climate, and while the bold moves made early in his campaign have ruffled some feathers, business executives are confirming that Wisconsin truly is Open for Business.
